Become an integral part of our Data and AI team with the credibility, expertise and insight clients depend on. You will be working with famous brands and household names – tackling some of the most challenging industry, community and national problems. Role: Data Governance & Management Specialist. Role Purpose: Establish and maintain best practice and fit-for-purpose data governance frameworks, policies, and standards covering data quality, data classification and handling, data privacy and protection, data retention and disposal, master and reference data management, metadata management, data access and security, and third-party data. Help clients ensure data is accurate and usable for reporting, analysis, modelling, and AI applications to support strategic outcomes, drive insights and decision making. Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business growth and innovation. Implement and manage data platforms across on-premises and cloud environments to ensure efficient data infrastructure, security, compliance, and observability. Role Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, privacy, security and compliance with regulatory requirements Develop policies and best practices for data access, classification, and stewardship, working closely with data, IT, and compliance teams Key Capabilities: Data Governance Framework / Concepts (Compliance Standards, Data Privacy Regulations, DAMA-DMBoK, Dublin Core) Data Cataloguing and Lineage (Alation, Collibra, Atlan, MS Purview, Google Dataplex, Informatica) Data Management (Data Archiving, Data Lifecycle Management) Location: Auckland/Wellington Salary range: NZD $95,000 – NZD $138,000 (Including Kiwi) Standard Working hours: 37.5 hours/week Equal Employment Opportunity Statement for Australia and New Zealand: At Accenture, our intention is to foster a culture and a workplace in which all of our people feel a sense of belonging and are respected and empowered to do their best work.
