Translate project requirements into Data Governance designs: Create workflows, data lineage, business glossary, business rules and implement it within the Data Governance tool. Integrate profiling outputs for data quality and collaborate with the data quality team. Perform Data Profiling and Issue Resolution: Conduct data profiling, analyze data issues and perform reconciliation activities to maintain data integrity. Support in governance reporting: Work towards achieving KPIs (for stewardship, lineage, business terms & business rules) and present program status to internal stakeholders. Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams: Own requirement gathering from a Data Governance standpoint and work with business and technical stakeholders. Apply Data Management Frameworks: Implement Data Governance principles, policies, and standards to ensure consistent data practices. Communicate and Promote Data Governance Practices: Participate in project meetings to update stakeholders on governance and metadata activities, promoting compliance with Data Governance policies and best practices. Foster a Customer-Centric Culture: Demonstrate a commitment to stakeholder service by prioritizing the needs of business users and cultivating a customer-first approach to Data Governance initiatives. You will report to Data Governance Specialist, Property & Casualty Insurance. What you will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Business & Insurance Acumen: Understand key industry concepts, processes, and regulatory requirements to align data governance activities effectively. Digital Literacy: Proficiency with data platforms, tools, and cloud environments (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Azure). Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and facilitating communication. Proficiency in Collibra: Relevant years of hands-on experience with collibra as an administrator. Have the ability to configure workflows using workflow designer, create lightweight Python scripts to automate workflows. Understanding of Data Management Principles: Apply core concepts like data quality, policies and controls to ensure data integrity and compliance. Practical experience with metadata management, data lineage, business glossary, and data stewardship best practices. Intermediate SQL and Excel Skills: Write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, and utilize MS excel, PowerPoint for reporting, data analysis, and visualization tasks. Knowledge of Database Structures: Understand database schemas, tables, relationships, and data mappings to support data integration and quality initiatives. Supporting Data Governance & Data Management Practices: Relevant years of practical experience in implementing and supporting Data Governance and data management practices within organizations. Experience working in Agile Methodology & Squads: Hands-on experience working within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and collaborative efforts to deliver data solutions efficiently. Application integration: Familiarity integrating Collibra with Databricks unity catalog, ETL and cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks, AWS/Azure/GCP). Exposure to data management frameworks: Exposure to data privacy / compliance frameworks (GDPR, DORA act, NIST etc.) and practical understanding of how they map onto metadata and stewardship controls. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders across functions and locations, managing expectations and ensuring their needs are addressed. Knowledge of the Insurance Industry: Understand key industry concepts, processes, and regulatory requirements to align Data Governance activities with business needs. Experience in Agile Methodology: Work within agile teams, participating in sprints, daily stand-ups, and iterative delivery processes to foster collaboration and flexibility.
