You will work closely with internal teams (operations, sales, and procurement) and external partners (customers) to maximize profitability and optimize utilization of business and human assets in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines, and policies. Key Responsibilities Plan upcoming units in Production and Quality Control to ensure the destination and transit type coincides with the customer’s preferences and expectations on delivery of their trailers. Coordinate with carriers to ensure delivery is instructed accurately and the trailers are delivered within our procedures and expected delivery dates. Track delivery with carriers until trailers are accepted by the customer and there is proof of delivery signed by both parties. Communicate with customers to deliver full transparency on their units throughout the delivery, including communication on production, quality control inspection, availability of units, availability of carriers, expected delivery dates, delivery reports, and miscellaneous requests fulfilled to ensure expectations are met. Coordination of daily handling of internal and domestic inbound and outbound shipments. Constant monitoring of track / trace to analyze inbound shipment efficiencies. Track and document delivery information in database systems. Provide reports to management including delivery status, inventory, distribution and budget request. Prepare reports for management including amount of damage claims, costs, and recovered amounts from damages. Requires upkeep of damage tracking per trailer and invoice tracking for damages per carrier. Manage carrier to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery of all shipments. Frequent interaction with internal and external customers as necessary. Maintain clear relationship between vendors and company. Understand vendor requests and capabilities. Relay and confirm delivery information with customer and sales representatives, if necessary. Submit claims to inbound carriers for material damages during inbound transportation. Negotiate claims in effort to recover 100% of the value of damaged material. Track and provide reporting to management and the plant regarding claim progress. Streamline communication between carrier, and warehouse in order to provide timely updates and one channel of communication between HT and carriers. Coordinate carrier capacity on daily incoming reports. Manage border crossing requirements such as import documents to cross all inbound shipments on time. Skills/Requirements Strongly preferred: 3+ years in shipping / logistics / supply chain management industry. Preferred: prior experience in customer service and/or operations. Attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Preferred: experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Ability to persuade and lead. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
