About the Role As a Satellite Mechanical Production Technician, you will be building structure assemblies and deployable assemblies for satellites. You will directly support the assembly, testing, and integration of spacecraft hardware, ensuring high-quality and reliable performance of our satellites. Responsibilities Utilize a comprehensive understanding of various tools, equipment, and machinery to effectively accomplish daily tasks. Manage schedule priorities and execute work tasks to meet production timelines. Independently performs a variety of sub-assemblies tasks according to detailed work instructions and established procedures. Operate mechanical and electrical ground support equipment to ensure smooth operations. Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents to ensure correct assembly. Record work performed accurately in the shop floor management system and maintained traceability. Collaborate with AIT engineers on documentation and continuous improvement initiatives Conduct mechanical integration tasks following cleanroom standards and ESD safety procedures. Required: High school diploma (or equivalent technical qualification). 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, integration, or mechanical assembly. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail when working with precision hardware. Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems. Understanding of assembly tools, torque and gluing processes. Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication in a cross-functional environment. Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience with laboratory and test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. Ability to read, interpret, and follow controlled documentation and processes such as mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, schematics, and parts lists. Familiarity with digital tools such as PC-based systems and Jira. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or high-volume production environments.
