Position Title: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse 13- week contract Estimated Pay Package: $1900 (stipend included) Job Description: The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized care for critically ill patients. This role involves a comprehensive approach to monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and executing complex treatment plans developed by a team of healthcare professionals. ICU RNs also play a pivotal role in stabilizing patients and managing emergency situations, ensuring high levels of patient safety and comfort. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care based on individualized care plans. Continuously monitor patients' clinical status and respond to changing conditions promptly. Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and post-discharge care. Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner. Participate in the unit's quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 2+ years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit or comparable critical care setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make complex decisions under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
