This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about teaching coding and programming skills to secondary stage students, equipping them with essential skills for the future. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that covers essential programming concepts suitable for secondary education. Engage students through practical coding sessions and projects, fostering hands-on learning experiences. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities. Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their programming skills. Encourage student-led projects and collaboration to build teamwork and problem-solving abilities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest programming trends and pedagogical methods in technology education. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall technology curriculum and participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification and previous experience in a classroom setting is highly desirable. Proficient in various programming languages, including but not limited to Python, Java, or JavaScript. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive learning environment. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that motivate and challenge students. Commitment to student learning and providing a supportive educational experience.
