Overview of the Role The function of a Paraplanner is to allow financial planners to focus on working closely with clients and identify their investment needs. Paraplanning includes analyzing clients' needs, and researching and recommending suitable products aligned to those needs. Main duties include:  Fact find input into Financial Planning software. Completion of modelling in financial planning software of various strategies. Consider the strategies within the confines of legislation to ensure they are allowable and whether the Adviser has missed any opportunities. Creation of a Statement of Advice (SoA) document in line with the specifications of the Licensee and Adviser. Creation of Executive Summaries to support the SoA. Creation of other compliance paperwork to support the SoA. Provide feedback to Advisers about any missing compliance documents/ wording that they need to complete in order to have a complete, compliant, client file A graduate from any four (4) year course; or At least 2 years in college with any bachelor’s degree with at least two (2) years of working experience Customer service Office administration and clerical work Basic to intermediate MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge
