Overview of the Role In this role, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity and reporting to one of our clients. This full-time position will see you responsible for a wide range of accounting activities that support the overall financial operations of the business. Main duties include: Preparation and Input of Income Tax returns I/P/C/T and Financials   Preparation and Input of BAS  Flow Charts  Recording client details in our databases, updating client details  Company & Trust setup (ABN, GST TFN PAYG)  Liaising with the Accounting Team to follow up and assist in resolving client queries Managing workflow for the team; updating tasks as required Updating Job flow manager Assisting with tax agent administration of client lists Preparation of invoices ATO portal maintenance and reports as required Liaising with the ATO for all matters Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Professional accounting certification (CPA or its equivalent) preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior accountant role, preferably in the Australian accounting, finance or a related industry Exposure to FYI docs and/or Active workpapers will be highly regarded Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial analysis tools such as Xero & XPM, and MYOB Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
