Mid-Level Network Designer Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company seeks an experienced Network Designer (Mid-Level or Senior) to join our team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) business organization. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with Information Technology (IT) Business Success Leaders and BDS stakeholders to implement and maintain communications and network systems enabling the BDS business to meet their organizational and program goals. Position Responsibilities:   Lead and perform the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services (e.g., wireless, data, voice, video, cable, wire) based on customer goals, objectives, cost and security constraints, to lead the design process Work collaboratively with other stakeholders (Transport, Transport, Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN), Structured Cabling, Project Manager, etc.) in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams Provide oversight and consultation of work intake processes. backlog and execution of requests, coordinating with IT Business leaders, Product Owners and Scrum Masters Create and document designs that conform to architectural and security standards to meet customer requirements, using design templates and standard implementation packages Prepare, deploy, and coordinate installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standards Provide Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support in preventative, proactive and reactive maintenance to meet service restoration and network availability objectives, using network analysis and monitoring tools Support and participate in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation Lead and perform implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies for the purpose of controlling costs and ensuring adherence to project plan Exercise critical thinking and innovative problem solving Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):   3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations 3+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local with Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN) 3+ years of experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocols Experience in supporting after-hours change windows and implementations Experience and ability with on call shifts, including weekends and after hours Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):   5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Current CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco Certification Experience with Arista networking Experience with Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Experience with Cisco CLI Experience with NTP Experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems and Panorama Experience with IPSEC and GRE tunnel configurations Experience with Splunk Conflict Of Interest: Successful Candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict Of Interest (COI) assessment process.
