Senior System Architect/Model Based Systems Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space Mission Systems (SMS) Division, seeking a qualified Senior System Architect/Model Based Systems Engineer to join the Space Systems Engineering team in Albuquerque, NM.   Our team works with Government, and Proprietary Customers in the development and deployment of next-generation technologies.  The SMS organization in New Mexico is dynamic and growing with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions. Position Responsibilities : Work collaboratively with a multi-discipline team to decompose system requirements into functional and logical architectures and allocate logical architecture to physical implementation Capture system requirements traceability within the system architecture model Apply model-based system engineering (MBSE) methodology to develop system architectural views using Systems Modeling Language (SysML) Analyze MBSE models to derive system ConOps through use of mission threads and use case scenario analyses Utilize the system architecture model in support of systems engineering milestone reviews such as SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, etc Ensure that system models are compliant to a standard outlined by the Customer approved style guide and the internal systems architecture/MBSE development plan Review and translate Customer reference architecture model to internal architecture model Provide input to continuously improve MBSE training, processes, and tools Mentor systems engineers in MBSE processes and tools Foster strong customer relationships Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 5+ year of experience in systems integration with systems engineering processes and procedures 5+ years of experience creating MBSE systems models in Cameo, Magic Systems of Systems Architect (MSOSA), or similar software Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML) Experience in CONOPS development, trade studies, and requirements/interface definitions Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience implementing model-based approaches on engineering projects/programs, ensuring seamless integration of delivered models within the receiving architecture and digital engineering platform Experience applying and teaching systems engineering processes and principles Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation  Experience with complex systems development and integration Experience modeling or simulating complex systems Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. Earned value management, DOORs, CAMEO) Understanding of statistical analysis, distributions, and sampling Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies .
