How you will contribute HSE Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE programs, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company objectives. Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety inspections to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions. Oversee and manage the plant's HSE management system. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Prepare and submit all required HSE reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of incidents, training, inspections, and environmental data. Incident Investigation & Prevention: Lead and participate in incident investigations (near misses, first aids, recordable injuries, environmental spills) to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Develop and implement proactive measures to prevent recurrence of incidents. Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation, job-specific safety training, and emergency response drills. Promote HSE awareness and a positive safety culture throughout the plant. Environmental Management: Manage environmental aspects of plant operations, including waste management, air emissions, wastewater discharge, and chemical storage. Ensure environmental permits are up-to-date and compliance limits are met. Identify opportunities for environmental footprint reduction and sustainability initiatives. Emergency Preparedness: Develop, implement, and regularly review emergency response plans (e.g., fire, hazardous material spills, medical emergencies). Organize and conduct emergency drills. Continuous Improvement: Monitor key HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement. Lead and participate in safety committees and cross-functional teams to drive HSE excellence. Stay informed of best practices and new technologies in HSE. Contractor Safety: Oversee contractor safety programs and ensure adherence to plant safety standards. What you will bring A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in an HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems and knowledge in relevant HSE regulations Certifications specializing in HSE would be preferred Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
