Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking an FPGA/Embedded Systems Engineer based in Seoul, South Korea. In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing and integration of RIS(Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface) System in future aircraft connectivity. This is a highly visible, multi-year strategic effort that impacts all areas of the enterprise. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop FPGA and embedded systems for controlling RIS in aviation applications Design and verify FPGA-based digital control logic (Xilinx, Intel FPGA, etc.) Perform FPGA automatic code generation and simulation using Model-Based Development (MBD) tools (MATLAB/Simulink, HDL Coder) Integrate and optimize systems between FPGA and embedded processors (e.g., ARM Cortex) Design and debug interfaces between embedded hardware and software Prepare detailed design and verification documentation according to system requirements, and participate in design reviews Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems with at least 5 years of experience; or Master’s degree with at least 3 years of experience; or doctoral degree; Experience in FPGA design and implementation (using VHDL or Verilog) Experience in embedded software programming (C/C++, RTOS) Proficiency with FPGA development tools (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, etc.) Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for embedded systems Experience in designing and verifying interfaces between FPGA and embedded hardware Excellent technical documentation and presentation skills Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, scope, and methodologies, and contribute to project planning and execution.
