Electrical Power Systems Engineer (Second Shift) - Millennium Space Systems Company: Millennium Space Systems Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. As an Electrical Power Systems Engineer you will cover spacecraft production, integration and test on second shift as representative of design engineering team across range of programs and projects. Your primary task will be dispositioning and root causing non conformances and issues as they come up, secondary tasking will be design based leveraging your experience with the integration and test. You will work closely with technicians, integration and test engineers as well as the design engineering team to foster a deep understanding of spacecraft design and subsystems, sharpening your skills and being a technical expert in your field. This position’s internal job code is Elect Design and Analysis. Our team is currently hiring for the Levels 2-3. This position requires the ability to work second shift (3:30pm - 1:00am). Position Responsibilities: Perform root cause analysis for non conformances in system level functional and environmental testing Disposition non conformances, design tests and design changes to meet design requirements Review and approve production work instructions Perform spacecraft Electrical Power subsystem EPS design and analysis at the spacecraft level, including interfaces with other subsystems Support battery, solar array, and electronics design Brief design and analysis materials to program managers, customers, and/or sponsors Support system level functional and environmental testing Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret security clearance is required post start. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelors Degree in electrical, computer, or other relevant engineering discipline 3 or more years experience in the design, development, analysis, implementation, testing, and/or operation of spacecraft power systems Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with high-reliability automotive or aerospace electronics Experience with mitigation of space radiation effects on microelectronics Experience in MATLAB Experience with hardware design tools such as Altium, EAGLE, OrCad, Allegro, DxDesigner, or PADS History of working independently to root cause discrepancies during spacecraft integration and test Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process Drug Free Workplace: Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
