Job Description Summary As an IT Intern, you’ll be immersed in developing custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate Desktop, designing intuitive workflows, and integrating solutions across Microsoft 365 services like SharePoint. You’ll support data-driven decision-making by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data, and presenting insights through dashboards and reports. Collaboration with IT and business teams is key, as is learning the Novartis IT framework and exploring automation opportunities using Python libraries or GPT-powered tools. You’ll also document your work thoroughly and assist with tech-related queries from associates.   Job Description Major accountabilities: Develop custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power Automate Desktop and design user-friendly interfaces and workflows Assist in the collection, cleaning, and analysis of data from various sources using established APIs or solution architecting new RPA solutions to support business decision-making Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate insights to stakeholders Integrate Power Apps with Power Automate, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 services Work on software applications like MS Applications, RPA, and other technologies to deliver high-quality products Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs Learn about Novartis IT framework / policy and do self-learning on any technology or automated solutions wherever applicable Propose and implement creative ideas using the Microsoft Power Platform or Python libraries with the possibility of being aided by LLM GPTs Create detailed documentation for developed applications and support in reporting and technology-related queries from associates Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies in Power Apps, data analytics and provide recommendations for improvement Requirements: Educational Background : Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate Desktop), SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 services. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Preferred experience with SAP ECC, SAP Business Warehouse, and SAP MDG; familiarity with Qlik Sense and Python RPA libraries (e.g., Selenium) is a plus. Analytical & Problem-Solving : Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and improve data quality and processes. Communication & Collaboration : Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Innovation & Learning : Creative thinking, eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks, and a proactive mindset to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement. Interpersonal Skills : Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong interest in delivering business value and supporting users through documentation, training, and process navigation. Languages : Good written and spoken English.
