About the Role The position is responsible for timely completion of accounting and reporting for General Insurance Business within the statutory requirements and guidelines. Job Description: Responsible for the timely completion of monthly/quarterly/yearly financial and management reports of General Insurance business. Review the accuracy and ensure timely submission of local statutory returns to BNM, IFRS templates to AIA Group and other regulatory reporting requirements, including audited financial statements. Perform variance analysis of the financial results and prepare management analysis pertaining to reporting to local management, AIA Group and statutory bodies. Review monthly and quarterly reconciliation of accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Identify and implement initiatives to improve processes and collaborate across departments to ensure that initiatives are incorporated with sound financial controls whilst meeting business requirements. Resolve issues and queries related to GL posting, processes and system, and identify solutions and improvements. Minimum Job Requirements: A recognized Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience. Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage. Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines . Analytical and good problem solving skills.
