The Role The Senior Statutory Accountant will be responsible for end-to-end Romanian statutory accounting, including monthly bookkeeping, statutory financial statements preparation, local compliance, and acting as the locally authorized signatory where required. This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting audit processes, and stabilizing statutory operations as part of Kyndryl’s in-housing transformation. The salary range for this opportunity starts at 3030 EUR gross per month. The final salary offer reflects the set of skills and experience that selected candidates bring to the team. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly Romanian statutory bookkeeping in compliance with local GAAP and legislation Prepare annual statutory financial statements and related disclosures Act as local signature authority for statutory filings (where applicable) Coordinate external audits and respond to auditor queries (EY/PwC or local auditors) Ensure timely regulatory submissions (financial statements, tax-related documentation as required) Maintain strong control environment and documentation for statutory compliance Partner with global statutory accounting teams and WW stakeholders Support VAT recoverability and compliance processes Identify risks, delays, and process gaps and propose mitigation actions Contribute to the in-housing and process improvement initiatives Who You Are Must-have (non-negotiable): Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of hands-on statutory accounting experience in Romania Strong knowledge of Romanian GAAP and local statutory legislation Proven experience preparing statutory financial statements end-to-end Experience working with external auditors Experience with monthly bookkeeping and closing processes Fluent in Romanian and English (written and spoken) Strongly preferred: Background in Big4 or statutory service providers (EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG or equivalent) Experience within multinational or shared service environment Knowledge of US GAAP bridges or group reporting (nice bonus, not required) Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) Being You The “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
