The Role As a Senior System Administrator at Kyndryl Italia Innovation Services, you’ll be part of a project-based team managing complex Linux infrastructures. You will contribute your expertise across Red Hat and SUSE environments, ensuring systems are stable, reliable, and secure while supporting business-critical operations. This role combines hands-on problem-solving with long-term planning, giving you both variety and growth opportunities that you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges – in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. Who You Are You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. Required Technical and Professional Expertise • Experience required: at least 5 years • Strong exposure to Linux systems administration (Red Hat preferred) • Hands-on experience with Bash scripting and basic Python • Experience working on production environments (incident management, troubleshooting, changes) • Fluent written and spoken Italian • Basic to intermediate English (written and spoken) Preferred Technical and Professional Experience • Knowledge of protocols such as SSH, Samba, and SSL/TLS certificates • Experience with web and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, WAS) • Experience with VMware virtualization (VM installation and configuration) • Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools • Ability to produce documentation and reports using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel) #KYNHIRINGKIIS Being You The “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
