Daar bouwen we aan een compleet vernieuwde IT-infrastructuur, waardoor de krijgsmacht een hoogwaardige en informatiegestuurde organisatie kan blijven. Wat ga je doen? Als Nutanix Virtualisatie Engineer zal je integreren in een team dat verantwoordelijk is voor het ontwerp, de implementatie, het onderhoud van het netwerk, en het draaiende houden van de services in de verschillende beheerde omgevingen. De functie vereist praktische kennis en expertise met betrekking tot het ontwerpen, bouwen en beheren van een complexe virtuele omgeving. Je zult verantwoordelijk zijn voor het ontwerpen, implementeren en ondersteunen van virtuele (enterprise) omgevingen, waarbij je gebruik maakt van replicatie voor herstel van de omgeving bij problemen (disaster recovery). Daarnaast optimaliseer je gevirtualiseerde enterprise omgevingen met verschillende uitvoeringsmethodes en zorg je voor de configuratie optimalisatie van virtuele servers om de beste prestaties te bereiken. Je documenteert installaties door gebruik te maken van een runboek en architectuur diagrammen. Je implementeert standaard oplossingen voor processen en procedures, en je werkt aan het mitigeren van risico’s en capaciteitsplanning. Samenwerking met operationele afdelingen en databasebeheer teams is essentieel om toekomstige groei te beoordelen. Je ontwikkelt KPI’s en zet monitoring op om prestaties en capaciteit te beheren in een snelgroeiende omgeving. Je werkt volgens de ITIL-methodiek en houdt je proactief op de hoogte van nieuwe technische ontwikkelingen die betrekking hebben op de beheerde omgeving. Er wordt van je verwacht dat je twee dagen per week met het team op locatie aanwezig bent (dichtbij Utrecht/Soesterberg/Amersfoort). De rest van de week is er de mogelijkheid om thuis te werken. Who You Are Werkervaring Algemeen Vereiste technische en professionele expertise Moet minimaal 6 jaar hands-on ervaring hebben met het ontwikkelen van virtuele enterprise omgevingen met meer dan 1000 VM’s verspreid over meerdere datacentra. Uitzondelijke kennis op het gebied van virtualisatie hypervisors, beheer en automatisering platvormen en gebruikte tooling. Diepgaande kennis van Nutanix, certificering is vereist. Ervaring in beheer van Windows en Linux servers is vereist. Kennis van Private cloud oplossingen is vereist. Gewenste technische en professionele ervaring Ervaring op het gebied van netwerken, scripting, and automatiseren is vereist, Ansible kennis is een pre. Gedegen kennis van enterprise storage arrays betreffende prestatie, betrouwbaarheid en omvang. Gedegen kennis van backup oplossingen voor grote gevirtualiseerde omgevingen.
