This internship will be 6 months long, starting from June 2026 to December 2026. Kindly note that this internship is only open to Malaysians, with final year students preferred. As an MLOps Engineer Intern, you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to building the next generation of MoneyLion’s machine learning platform and infrastructure. Working alongside experienced engineers, data scientists, and AI specialists, you will help design, prototype, and refine tools and systems that enable scalable machine learning development as well as deployment. This internship will offer hands-on exposure to real-world machine learning operations (MLOps) practices within a leading fintech environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in researching and prototyping MLOps tools, frameworks, and best practices to streamline the machine learning lifecycle at MoneyLion. Develop tools and abstractions that empower Data Scientists to rapidly iterate on models. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and AI/ML Engineers to improve workflows and accelerate model deployment. Assist Data Scientists with resource provisioning in the model development and deployment phase. Help maintain monitoring systems for machine learning models in production environments. Contribute to optimizing cloud infrastructure usage and enhancing transparency around resource costs. Participate in initiatives to enhance the reliability and scalability of MLOps platforms. About You Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals such as coding best practices, version control, and unit testing. Experience (academic or project-based) working with Kubernetes; familiarity with EKS is a plus. Proficient in Python and SQL. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies. Effective communication and collaboration skills; eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment. Exposure to or interest in MLOps tools such as DVC, MLFlow, Metaflow, or Ray is a plus. What's Next...
