Title: Cost Control Manager (Angola) KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle.  These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is providing Project Management Services encompassing Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phase execution supporting KBR’s client Sonangol’ s multi-billion-dollar grass roots Lobito Refinery Project in Angola, Africa. ***This position will work from Angola and will need partial time work at the job site outside of Lobito*** KBR is looking for a Cost Control Manager to be responsible for executing accounting policies and procedures involving the maintenance of KBR Angola tax filing, review of accounting statements, execution of tax strategies and management financial reporting relevant to the Angola authorities.  The candidate is expected to have all relevant certifications to function and complete routine tasks in this role while utilizing KBR’s accounting service provider for general guidance.   Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within the field of accounting. Functional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Perform accounting function and activities including one or more activities of billing, revenue recognition, project financial status reports, overhead accounting, master data management, fixed assets accounting, accruals, account reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting Require frequent communication and coordination with managers and other key stakeholders in various KBR offices globally Ability to travel to India or outside Angola for occasional work trips Require the ability to understand various tax regimes in Angola and communicate with the relevant authorities Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Should adhere to all controls and compliance including SoX / business controls Provide supporting documentation for audits.  Supports general business operations by providing administrative support activities such as data entry, reporting, correspondence, and basic analysis requiring attention to detail Any other functions as may be allocated by supervisor Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field 5-10 years of experience with OCPCA professional accreditation in Angola Relevant work-experience of 2+ years or Semi-qualified professionals / undergraduate / Post graduate degree in commerce with minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience Strong accounting knowledge - provide full spectrum of accounting support including handling of full set of accounts; monthly closing of books, accounts reconciliations; management financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, anti-corruption, and SOX compliance Experience in project accounting activities for engineering and construction companies or experience in F&A of multinational companies including F&A shared services preferred Hands on experience in SAP, Costpoint, HFM, Cadency / AssureNet, MS Office etc. Possess analytical skills with attention to details Previous field experience is preferred Work requires professional English written and strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create strong working relationships with global stakeholders Successfully manage tight timelines KBR Benefits ​ KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
