The Opportunity We currently have an opportunity available for a US Sales Trainer with our Structural Heart team. The US TAVI Sales Trainer , is the primary driver of all new hire commercial training efforts with the Global Commercial Excellence Team. This role is remote and will report to the Global Director of Commercial Excellence, Structural Heart. The US TAVI Sales Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining commercial training programs. This role ensures alignment with structural heart strategy and adapts to changes as necessary. This position requires close collaboration with multiple cross-functional partners, including marketing, sales leadership, field sales team members to ensure successful program implantation and alignment with corporate and structural heart business objectives. This position will focus on new hire training, product launches, and other commercial initiatives across structural heart. Advancing sales acumen of the field sales team will be an essential part of this role, as will the onboarding of future Sales Managers to the curriculum. This role is responsible for sourcing relevant content, development of the training pathway, and adoption of sales tools. The US TAVI Sales Trainer will conduct/facilitate training events and group/individual training as per the development roadmap and as needed. US travel will be required. What You’ll Work On Program Development and Alignment Develop and Execute Sales Training : Create and implement commercial training courses and programs aligned with the structural heart strategy. Adapt content and programs as necessary. Identify Commercial capability Gaps : Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to identify gaps within the commercial organization and develop targeted training programs. Sales Training Pathway : Establish a comprehensive training pathway, including timelines and measurement systems, for the development of both new and current field sales representatives. Training Compliance and Tracking Ensure Compliance : Work with the Commercial Operations team to ensure all training content and programs comply with Abbott Corporate guidelines. Document and Track Activities : Maintain thorough documentation and tracking of all training activities. Report key findings, challenges, obstacles, and opportunities for development to the Commercial Excellence Team. Business Acumen Development Business Strategy : Develop and implement effective business acumen strategies based on thorough strategic account planning, stakeholder influence, and business execution. Problem-Solving : Utilize innovative thinking to overcome obstacles and drive progress. Collaboration and Communication Team Alignment : Ensure alignment and successful outcomes through strong collaboration and communication skills. Sales Management : Lead by example in understanding and implementing company sales management and reporting systems. Establish sales management principles and philosophies. Auditing and Assessment Evaluate Sales Representatives : Audit the current state and progression of each sales representative through field time, sales management meetings, and other assessment measures. Project Management Lead Multiple Projects : Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing resources and timelines to optimize learners' time out of territory. Representation and Ethics Present Company Values : Lead by example in formally and informally presenting Abbott Structural Heart's mission statement, core values, and objectives. Adherence to Values : Ensure personal adherence to company values, ethics, and legal obligations in daily business conduct. Global Commercial Operations Team Participation Team Involvement : Participate as an active member of the Global Commercial Operations team, including annual objective setting, key project leadership, and providing commercial strategy guidance. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Prior sales training management experience required; Minimum of 3 years. Prior experience in medical devices required; Minimum of 7 years. Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to travel internationally. Strong presentation, verbal, written communication skills. Highly skilled in collaboration. Experience working in a matrixed business environment. Experience working in a highly regulated and high-quality system environment. Compliance with government regulations is required. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree. Ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred. Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement training processes, procedures and policies. Proven proficiency in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving problems of all levels of complexity, prioritizing critical client issues and identifying department needs. Ability to deliver high-quality training programs and present effectively in front of large audiences; Strong presentation skills are required. Ability to administer the development initiatives, manage multiple projects, assess effectiveness, and implement a Learning Management System. Ability to conduct research and creative analysis of development needs, and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations. Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/ drive change across functional and business boundaries. Ability to develop recommendations and present concisely and clearly to senior leadership. Successful track record of working effectively at all levels within the organization. Business acumen: demonstrates strong interest in structural heart therapies, and related products. Experience with systems such as Brainshark, Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com, Teams, Monday.com preferred.
