The Opportunity This position works at Istanbul location in the International Finance Division that we are committed to bringing the benefits of our trusted medicines to more people in the world’s fastest-growing countries. What You’ll Do Accounting Operations Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities in line with corporate timelines. Perform day‑to‑day accounting tasks including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations. Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting policies. Monitor AP/AR transactions and support treasury or cash‑flow processes when required. Support fixed assets accounting, depreciation, and inventory controls. Cost Accounting – Oversees end to end cost accounting processes by maintaining accurate cost structures, analyzes variances, and collaborates with operations to ensure cost accuracy and efficiency. Financial Reporting Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages. Ensure timely and accurate submission of management reports and group reporting deliverables. Support group reporting requirements (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP as applicable). Assist in variance analysis and provide insights to management. Develop recurring reporting dashboards and KPIs. Compliance & Controls Ensure accounting processes comply with corporate internal control frameworks. Provide audit support by preparing required documentation and responding to internal and external auditors. Ensure adherence to tax regulations and support tax filings (VAT, withholding, corporate tax). Maintain up‑to‑date accounting policies, workflows, and procedural documentation. Process Improvement Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and process improvement. Support system enhancements (ERP, reporting tools, etc.). Standardize reporting procedures across business units. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, and other teams to ensure financial accuracy. Provide ad‑hoc financial analyses and support special projects. Required Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline. 2–5 years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting. Experience with IFRS or local GAAP. Experience in multinational environments or audit firms (Big Four preferred) is an advantage. Technical Skills Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency in SAP ERP system is a strong plus Advanced Excel skills: familiarity with Power BI is a plus. Hands‑on experience with financial reporting tools and analytical systems. Embraces a growth and digital mindset, leveraging technology and data analytics tools Brings strong organizational skills, curiosity, and analytical thinking and fluency in written and spoken English Soft Skills Detail‑oriented and accurate in delivering outputs. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
