ABOUT ABBOTT VASCULAR NETHERLANDS (AVN) Abbott Vascular Netherlands in Heerlen, The Netherlands, is one of the two Abbott Vascular Tier 1 distribution centers responsible for the worldwide distribution of Abbott’s vascular products. From our 10,000 m2 warehouse we ship an average of 1,950 deliveries per day (745,000 units per month) to hospitals, Abbott distributors and Abbott affiliates in Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America. Every day, more than 150 employees in our warehouse and in supporting departments work on processing customer orders, maintaining a high service level to ensure that our customers receive the right products on time. Abbott Vascular Netherlands offers a complete and high standard of excellence as a distribution center The Customer Service team is the face of Abbott Vascular Netherlands to the outside world. We enter and manage customer orders, plan shipments aligned with warehouse capacity, and ensure smooth coordination across functions. The Transport team works with carriers to make sure our products are delivered on time and without damage, maintaining the highest standards of service and reliability. Together, these teams play a vital role in delivering operational excellence and customer satisfaction on a global scale. WHAT WILL YOU FOCUS ON DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP? Your assignment will be dynamic, meaningful, and impactful. You will work closely with our Customer Service and Transport teams on a project that combines data analytics, business intelligence, and operational performance. The goal is to create a live dashboard that provides real-time insights into our operations, helping us make data driven decisions and improve efficiency. What makes this exciting? You won’t just analyze data: you’ll see how your work influences global operations . You’ll learn how to translate business needs into actionable insights . You’ll gain hands on experience with Power BI and Business Objects . You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals, learning about stakeholder management , KPI development , and performance measurement in a Tier 1 distribution center. This is a team effort: you will not work alone. We will guide you, coach you, and ensure you have the support needed to succeed. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Are you an active HBO  student, preferably studying Business Intelligence or Data Science or a related field ,  then we are looking for you! Knowledge of Power BI/Business Objects is expected .
