Description Site specific procurement ownership with responsibility for strategic through tactical-level execution for designated categories of spend. Ensure that Business Partner focus is an integral component of Global Procurement interactions. Scope includes supporting strategy development (demand side role) and Procurement execution (supply side role). Understand the product lifecycle process, impact on the organization (both short and long term) and knowledge of the global value chain to provide strategic industry insights and identify potential opportunities that may shorten/improve the product lifecycle or integrate opportunities across categories that ultimately lead to a competitive advantage. This position will facilitate continuous improvement and idea innovation that will enable the Business Partner, Category and Functional Leads to achieve strategic objectives. The key competencies for this role include: · Procurement and Contracting Fundamentals · Key Stakeholder Management/Business Partner Management · Supplier Management · Project and Stakeholder Management · Strategic Planning & Organization · Future Oriented Growth Mindset · Change Management & Communications · Business Process & Performance Management · Strong Mission & Values Alignment · Company & Industry Expertise Key Responsibilities · Execute the end-to-end Procurement process in support of operations across the assigned sites o Understand market nuances to effectively develop, implement and drive the global and local Procurement strategy, policies and processes o Establish clear roles and responsibilities between regional / local resources to avoid double workload and ensure “one-face” to the business o Encourage cross-market and cross-functional collaboration to take advantage of synergies through effective business partnering and stakeholder management o Drive site specific procurement plans in line with category strategies and make decisions necessary to purchase goods and services in congruence with organizational objectives and sourcing strategies. o Review procurement requisitions in accordance with organizational requirements and budgetary constraints. o Perform cost benefit analysis on planned acquisitions. o Develop and execute sourcing events and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms, and conditions o Apply quality assurance protocols to monitor team and individual quality and to ensure only appropriate escalations to global category managers, legal and other subject matters experts o Act as escalation point within Agile Sourcing team to provide guidance and answer questions on substantive sourcing and contracting related issues o Maintain awareness of pre-contracting steps, including underlying BMS policies and procedures related to the contracts and the contracted activities within scope · Partner directly with adjacent stakeholders and deliver on complex, high-risk issues or projects o Act as a trusted advisor to local business units and their leadership to ensure procurement strategies can be delivered against the expectations of the business o Act as an expert facilitator to fully manage and lead complex sourcing events and contract negotiations in partnership with business stakeholders, global procurement category managers, legal and other participants in the contracting process, including various subject matter experts o Coordinate with functions and stakeholders across BMS to ensure timely, compliant, and effective facilitation of contracts o Ensure business partners are satisfied with the overall Procurement relationship o Champion Procurement training programs to better support business needs o Drive co-ownership of initiatives and accountability based on agreed upon strategies o Develop and implement metrics and reporting mechanisms · Continuous Improvement for Source to Contract o Identify trends for continuous improvement to operational effectiveness, standardization and process simplification o Partner and share best practices and learnings with Agile Sourcing team to ensure business needs are proactively met in an aligned, consistent and collaborative manner across functional areas and in a manner that is complaint with BMS Standard Operating Procedures and protocols o Work with procurement and legal to find ways to improve the contracting process, including recommending updates to contract templates, collecting fallback language and developing guidance for negotiations o Participate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives within procurement to strengthen our contracting and sourcing outcomes o Explore new procurement technologies with a focus on AI/ML opportunities o Develop, review, and analyze SLAs, KPIs, and other team performance metrics to support execution of long-term business plans and growth to drive business decisions and report these metrics to the Agile Sourcing team Qualifications & Experience · B.S./B.A. Sciences; advanced education (e.g., MBA, MS) preferred · Minimum of 6-8 years prior related experience, including relevant category procurement, sourcing and contracting experience, including but not limited to familiarity with Master Services Agreements · Expertise in procurement process, agreement management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experience · Excellent oral and written communication skills and diplomacy to convey information and influence others with a strong customer focus · Demonstrates a high level of adaptability in dealing with ambiguous and complex work environment and balances multiples demands on role in a responsive and professional manner and proven ability to engage teams and inspire them to sustain high levels of performance in a constantly changing environment · Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management technology (e.g., Icertis) to automate and streamline processes If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
