The Senior Director, Global Process Owner – Contracting position is accountable for the end-to-end design, governance, and continuous improvement of global contracting processes. This leader will drive digital transformation, operational excellence, and compliance, ensuring a seamless, user-centric experience. As a strategic partner to the Executive Director, Digital Strategy & GPO, the Sr Director will translate the enterprise digital vision into actionable contracting initiatives, deploy advanced analytics and automation, and foster cross-functional and external collaboration to deliver measurable business value and support strategic objectives. The role also owns procurement systems implementation and integration for contracting and is responsible for performance management across all contracting activities. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities: End-to-End Process Ownership Own and maintain global contracting process design, documentation, and governance. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for process-related queries and escalations. Process Strategy, Optimization & Execution Define and implement process strategies aligned with organizational and digital transformation goals. Drive standardization, simplification, and automation across regions. Benchmark against best practices and engage with external partners to ensure processes meet or exceed industry standards. Collaborate on cross-process initiatives (e.g., intake, orchestration, buying channels) to ensure contracting is integrated into end-to-end procurement transformation. Procurement Systems Implementation & Integration Lead the selection, deployment, and optimization of digital contracting platforms (e.g., CLM systems, e-signature tools). Oversee integration of contracting systems with intake, sourcing, and downstream procurement platforms. Partner with IT and vendors to ensure seamless connectivity, data integrity, and system performance. Champion automation and digital workflows to enhance process outcomes. Performance Management Define KPIs and monitor process performance, usability, and adoption. Make user experience (UX) and adoption explicit, measurable outcomes. Use analytics to identify improvement opportunities and sustain efficiency. Be accountable for process performance, user experience, and adoption globally. Track and report on performance metrics, driving accountability and continuous improvement. Governance & Risk Management Establish clear decision rights and accountability frameworks. Monitor process risks and implement mitigation plans. Cross-Functional & Ecosystem Collaboration Engage stakeholders across business units, functions, and geographies. Facilitate forums for alignment, decision-making, and best practice sharing. Partner with Legal, IT, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless integration and compliance. Actively engage with external partners, industry councils, and benchmarking forums to bring outside-in innovation. Continuous Improvement, Innovation & External Leadership Foster a culture of operational excellence and innovation. Implement feedback loops and leverage automation to drive continuous improvement. Maintain an active external presence—participate in industry forums, conferences, and professional networks to identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices. Proactively seek out and introduce innovative solutions, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of contracting excellence. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management Communicate process changes effectively and manage global adoption. Develop and deliver training and change management programs. Measure and improve user experience (UX) and stakeholder satisfaction. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Minimum education of a bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree or MBA preferred. Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in procurement, contracting, or process transformation. Strong understanding of contracting workflows, compliance, and automation. Proven track record in global process ownership and digital enablement. Experience implementing enterprise contracting platforms, advanced analytics, and process governance frameworks. Demonstrated ability to lead procurement systems implementation and integration.  The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience.
