The Forum engages the foremost political, business, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. About the Team Engaging the public sector across the World Economic Forum’s scope of work is critical in shaping regional, global, and industry agendas, and to ensure that we are working in the global public interest. The Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics is accountable for all regional engagement strategies and activities leveraging the Forum’s platforms, knowledge, initiatives, networks, and events. The Centre centralizes the engagement of the World’s most relevant and impactful government and public sector leaders from the G20 economies and other relevant nations into and across the Forum’s value streams. It ensures the Forum’s approach is global while founded on comprehensive understandings of the regional and local contexts. The Forum’s Latin American team within the Centre for Regions, Trade and Geopolitics is responsible for overseeing all the Forum’s engagement with this region. This includes developing regionally-focused strategies and value propositions for Forum’s multi-stakeholder members and constituents, shaping and coordinating regional projects and communities, as well as organizing and delivering innovative meetings, project workshops, country high level dialogues, and other activities. The Latin America team identifies key government leaders, public figures, thought leaders, academics, scientists and innovators, representatives of the civil society, youth, women, social entrepreneurs and other relevant figures from Latin America to develop a regional community of leaders and engage them together with business leaders in projects and initiatives – online and offline – to address economic, political, environmental, social, and geopolitical issues at a global, regional and sectorial level. Reporting Lines and Interactions At the Forum, we believe that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to improve the state of the world by building awareness and co-operation, shaping mind-sets and agendas and driving collective action. How is the role embedded in the wider team and the Organization? The position reports to the Head of Latin America.
