Job Description Title: Senior Project Engineer Pioneer the next generation of innovation. Key Accountabilities: Lead end-to-end project management for large-scale manufacturing expansion initiatives, including various new Machining methods at the Aiken site. Serve as the primary project lead coordinating cross-functional workstreams across Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality, Logistics, Purchasing, Controlling, HR, IT, and external partners Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and governance structures in alignment with global manufacturing standards, timelines, and budgetary targets. Deploy established manufacturing processes and standards from global reference sites while enabling adaptation and innovation to support local production requirements. Coordinate facility planning, building modifications, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover to operations. Plan, lead, and facilitate technical workshops and alignment sessions with domestic and international stakeholders to ensure project milestones, deliverables, and operational readiness. Apply Lean manufacturing principles to design and implement optimized future-state value streams that support productivity, flow, and long- term operational efficiency. Drive project execution through disciplined progress tracking, risk management, issue resolution, and escalation as required. Prepare and present decision-ready status updates, progress reports, and escalation materials to senior and executive leadership. Support workforce readiness by coordinating inputs to training strategies and implementation plans for new manufacturing departments and technologies. Act as a key change agent, ensuring effective communication, alignment, and adoption of new systems and processes across cultures and time zones. Promote a strong compliance, safety, and quality culture in alignment with the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct. Perform special projects as assigned to support strategic manufacturing objectives. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline “Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.” Preferred: Extensive professional experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects, preferably within an international or multi-site manufacturing context. Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes with demonstrated interest in digital workflows, data-driven manufacturing, and modern production systems. Strong project management capability, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence, align, and drive decisions across organizational boundaries. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support project execution. Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite; experience with project planning or tracking tools German language skills Project management professional (PMP) certification Experience supporting manufacturing expansions, facility launches, or major capital investment projects.
