Here’s what you’ll be responsible for joining our team as Retail Marketing intern: Support the planning and execution of retail marketing and in-store activations, helping bring Vans’ brand, culture, and stories to life in stores. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Retail, Creative, Visual Merchandising, and other Marketing functions) to gather all tactics needed to deliver engaging in-store events and consumer activations. Assist with retail marketing operations across EMEA, supporting different store formats (Owned, Partner, Outlet). Contribute to training and communication materials for store teams ahead of key activations or events. Help execute retail campaigns and store activations, including in-store visuals, digital retail communications, and event-related materials. Provide day-to-day support on cross-functional needs, such as copy coordination, translations, and event logistics. Work closely with DTC (Direct To Consumer) Retail teams (district and store managers) to support smooth execution at store level. Support the creation of briefs and post-activation recaps, capturing learnings and best practices for future in-store initiatives. Support basic budget tracking and purchase order follow-up in coordination with the team. Skills that will make you successful You are a natural facilitator who helps ideas turn into real, on-the-ground experiences: Project-minded and well-organized – You enjoy working in project mode, juggling multiple activations, and coordinating across Creative, Retail, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing teams. Curious about retail marketing and in-store activations – You’re eager to understand how brand storytelling, consumer experience, and store execution come together in a physical retail environment. Culturally connected – You have a strong eye for engaging content and a genuine affinity with action sports, street culture, and the Vans DNA (skate, music, art, and self-expression). Detail-driven yet hands-on – You care about quality, follow through on execution, and take pride in getting the small details right for events and store activations. Proactive and solution-oriented -You show initiative, adapt quickly, and keep things moving even when plans evolve or challenges arise. Collaborative by nature – You thrive in team environments, share information openly, and contribute positively to collective success. Comfortable working with data and tools – You enjoy using tools like Excel and PowerPoint to track projects, support reporting, and tell clear, visual stories. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field is nice to have, but we are most interested in your mindset, curiosity, and relevant experiences.
