Summary: The FA&R Team Lead provides leadership to a team of Senior, Financial and Assistant Fianancial Controllers in the Period-End and is accountable to deliver exceptional services.  They manage day-to-day operations, distribute workloads, and are accountable for meeting (and strive to exceed) the team SLAs and KPIs. They are responsible for ensuring that the FA&R team members are engaged, supported, and developed.  The FA&R Team Leads play an active role in developing their teams’ skills, conducting performance reviews, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. They act as the key escalation point for operational issues and work closely with operations managers to ensure customer needs are identified and met.  Responsibilities: Operational Delivery:  Coordinates and supervises day-to-day prioritizing of tasks, balancing workload across the team. Oversee general ledger, intercompany, and reporting tasks, ensuring everything is accurate and completed on time. Recognizes unusual transactions, trends, or variations and communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders in a timely and effective fashion  Performance Management and CI : Drives team and process performance through data driven insights. Coordinates, develops and maintains documentation on projects and team assignments. Support Projects including Process re-designing / Process Standardization / Process Optimization  Escalation Management : Monitor team performance in handling escalations and provide coaching to improve proficiency. Take Lead in resolving the issues and bring in controls to avoid the occurrence of the issue. Investigate the underlying causes of escalations to identify systemic issues and prevent their recurrence.   Risk, Compliance & Controls : Maintain controls and procedures of Financial Accounting & Reporting (FA&R) process. Ensures that controls are operated as design. Strong Governance around all controls as per RCM’s (Risk Control Matrix)  Team Management:  Mentor and provide Guidance to peers and other team members. Provide timely and adequate feedback to team members about their performance   Qualifications & Experience:   Bachelor’s degree in finance & accounting, Qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent  10+ years’ experience in a GBS or BPO setting with expert knowledge of end-to-end Financial Accounting and related accounting  Experience in resource planning, scheduling, and workflow management.   Experience managing an FA&R team and driving performance against KPIs.  Stakeholder management experience at operational level. Proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate people.  Experience with ERP system: SAP is a must.
