Role Overview We are seeking a entrepreneur minded and technically literate AVP to join the Digital Strategy Division, APAC. This role is designed for a candidate who can operate as a business analyst/consultant to drive Digital transformation (including AI and BI) initiatives across MUFG and its partner banks. The AVP will also contribute to market intelligence activities that support the division’s broader digital transformation agenda. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of engineering knowledge and consulting experience, enabling them to bridge business needs with digital capabilities and support high-impact AI initiatives across the region. Key Responsibilities Digital Transformation & Digital Strategy Execution Lead and support the rollout of AI and other digital solutions across MUFG and partner banks in Asia. Translate business needs into technical requirements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. Evaluate solution providers and technologies for strategic fit, scalability, and impact. Develop use cases, implementation roadmaps, and performance tracking frameworks. Market Intelligence Conduct research and analysis on emerging technologies, start-ups, and strategic trends relevant to digital financial services. Identify and evaluate collaboration opportunities aligned with MUFG’s digital strategy. Prepare research briefs and contribute to internal reporting and strategic reviews. Stakeholder Engagement & Project Support Collaborate with business unites and cross-functional teams across APAC to align digital initiatives with business priorities. Prepare presentation materials, project documentation, and updates for senior management. Participate in strategic discussions with partner banks to support regional enablement. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in consulting (strategy, digital transformation, or technology advisory). Strong project management experience is a must. Strong understanding of safe and responsible AI technologies and their application in financial services. Ability to translate business needs into digital solutions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analytical and structured thinker with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.
