This is a new position within the Financial Sponsor Coverage team to provide an integrated client experience and strategic dialogues for financial sponsors across asset classes.  Job responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for key Financial Sponsor clients and the sponsor business, ensuring alignment with broader organisational goals and market opportunities. Participate actively in portfolio decisions related to financial sponsors in the region, including new loan origination, management of problem loans, and exit strategies. Design and execute robust product strategies that drive financial outcomes and foster sustainable business growth throughout the APAC markets. Take overall responsibility for the financial performance of the Financial Sponsor Coverage activity in APAC, monitoring key metrics and adjusting plans as necessary to achieve targets. Cultivate strong C-suite relationships with both new and existing financial sponsor clients, ensuring their needs are met through tailored solutions and proactive engagement. Facilitate seamless global connectivity by coordinating closely with internal teams across regions to deliver integrated services for APAC-based financial sponsor clients. Enhance current customer portfolios by identifying opportunities to increase revenue streams and meet return objectives through innovative financing solutions. Expand the client base by identifying and onboarding new financial sponsors, supporting the growth of sponsor-driven finance initiatives within the region. Work collaboratively with various internal relationship teams—including those focused on financial institutions, structured credit asset finance, and sector coverage—to ensure cohesive service delivery. Champion best practices in client service, risk management, and compliance while maintaining high standards of professionalism across all interactions. Job Requirements: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in sponsor coverage or leveraged buyout environments within major financial institutions or equivalent settings. Demonstrated success working with global investors to structure and deliver complex financing solutions such as acquisition finance or structured finance products. Proven leadership capabilities with a history of guiding teams towards shared objectives while nurturing talent within inclusive environments. Extensive private equity experience specifically within East Asia markets, providing deep insights into local dynamics and investor expectations. A collaborative mindset paired with entrepreneurial thinking; you excel at bringing together diverse groups to achieve common goals efficiently. Exceptional communication skills enabling you to influence stakeholders at all levels—internally across departments as well as externally with clients. Comprehensive understanding of credit analysis methodologies coupled with practical knowledge of current financing trends in Asian markets. A creative approach to problem-solving; you consistently generate fresh ideas that add value for clients while managing risk effectively. Ability to coordinate complex transactions across multiple branches, departments, and headquarters locations through effective networking skills.
