These new digital applications will build on our global footprint of Mammography (Mammo), Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT), and X‑ray systems—elevating traditional hardware into intelligent, connected platforms that unlock greater clinical insights and operational efficiency. To bring this vision to life, we rely on strong cross‑functional leadership across our global engineering teams in North America, China, and Bangalore. This role plays a pivotal part in unifying these teams, driving alignment, and delivering breakthrough digital solutions that redefine the future of diagnostic imaging. You will establish and uphold engineering and delivery standards, ensure projects are completed on time and within scope, and champion high‑quality outcomes. A core part of this role includes validating new concepts and technologies through rigorous scientific and engineering methods—translating innovation into scalable, real‑world impact. Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team—including software, data science, and AI professionals—to design and deliver advanced digital and AI‑enabled solutions. Drive the integration of computer science, electronic engineering, and AI methodologies to build intelligent, scalable systems for diagnostic imaging. Apply strong judgment to resolve complex engineering problems, evaluate data quality, and make informed, timely decisions. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence stakeholders across functions. Lead or contribute to cross‑functional initiatives with varying levels of complexity; mentor teams and promote a collaborative, high‑performance culture. Champion innovation by identifying emerging technologies, driving process improvements, and supporting scalable digital growth. Collaborate closely with product, clinical, and business teams to define requirements and ensure delivery of high‑value AI‑powered products. Validate new concepts and technologies through rigorous scientific and engineering methods, ensuring feasibility and alignment with long‑term strategy. Required Qualifications Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or a STEM field and 4+ years of experience developing complex technology products, or a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience. Hands‑on experience developing or delivering AI‑driven products. Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of influencing outcomes and guiding teams toward shared goals. Desired Characteristics Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization. Proactive, self‑directed, and comfortable operating with minimal oversight. Strong interest and proven capability in emerging technologies, demonstrated through project work, training, or industry engagement. Highly collaborative team player who values diverse input and global partnerships. Experience coaching, developing, and mentoring technical talent. Background in healthcare product development or regulated quality systems (e.g., medical devices) is a strong plus. Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to translate customer needs into product improvements and new opportunities. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to anticipate barriers and formulate pragmatic solutions. Demonstrated ability to lead change, improve processes, and balance multiple priorities in fast‑moving environments. Experience managing data pipelines, data quality, or data‑centric engineering processes. Experience deploying production‑grade AI/ML models at scale and delivering measurable business impact. Ability to translate business challenges into ROI‑driven AI solutions, including end‑to‑end model lifecycle ownership.
