Responsible to support medium to long term projects requiring independent decision making, data analysis, and the preparation of PowerPoint and other visual materials to communicate progress and best practices; to assist in function specific tasks comparable to a full time role within the assigned area of study; to participate in early talent trainings, events, and seminars; and to carry out assignments where a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and trust is expected. This is a 6 month contract. Job Description Responsibilities- Work on projects as a part of the core project team supporting the functional leader and project manager (these projects are normally scoped to last between two and six months in duration but can last for as long as two years). Develop PowerPoint presentations and other graphic presentations to communicate progress, share best practices, or to provide updates. Analyse data with excel or various other analysis tools. Take on certain aspects of a full-time job within the function the intern is studying (e.g., may be asked to write software code if in an engineering internship, may be asked to perform compensation analysis if in a HR internship). Participate in early talent events, seminars or trainings. Perform assignments where trust and accuracy are required. Qualifications- Diploma/Degree from a recognition organization Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills – fluent in English Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. Effective time management and organizational skills and able to balance multiple priorities.   Characteristics- Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with department guidelines. Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow, and anticipate future needs of the team. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Self-Starter, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal direction. Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
