Job Description Summary The North East Africa Controller is accountable for end-to-end operational controllership across the Northeast Africa region—owning monthly financial close, P&L and balance sheet integrity, pacing/forecasting, and risk & opportunity management. The role partners closely with Operations and Sales and prepares insight-rich reviews for regional leadership (CFO/GM). Core elements include P&L measurement, variance analysis vs. estimates, leadership review preparation, and balance-sheet governance mechanisms. Job Description Responsibilities Manage and direct the accounting and financial reporting functions for GE Medical Systems Egypt LLC, covering the North East Africa (NEA) region. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, collaborating with business leaders to establish targets and monitor performance against plans. Provide in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability assessments, and cash flow projections, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Manage external audits, tax filings, and relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Tax) to provide financial expertise and support. Drive process improvements and leverage financial systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. Prepare financial documentation for internal & external audits and manage closure of open issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) highly preferred. Experience in finance or accounting Strong understanding of US GAAP and local statutory accounting principles. Proven experience in managing financial operations for a multinational company, preferably within the healthcare or medical devices industry. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in financial reporting systems (e.g, Oracle, Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
