Job Description Summary The Clinical Application Manager for Voluson (WHS Ultrasound) should have a background as an ultrasound physician with in-depth knowledge of Voluson systems. This role will focus on Worldwide Product Planning (WWPP) and work closely with upstream R&D teams and the product management team to define, prioritize, and develop advanced clinical features (NPI/ATD/IP). As a global role, it ensures that features developed in China are validated and applicable across worldwide markets through participation in global MEs (milestones for clinical evaluations). In addition, the Clinical Application Manager plays a key role in NMPA clinical validation, WHS volunteer scanning activities, and the collection and annotation of clinical data to support regulatory and product development needs. This role has a dual reporting line: She/he will report to the Engineering Leader in China and functionally to the Global Clinical Product Director. Work closely with upstream R&D teams to drive feature development (NPI/ATD/IP) and ensure advanced clinical functionality meets customer needs. Participate in global milestone evaluations (ME) to validate features for worldwide applicability. Support NMPA clinical validation , including preparation of clinical documentation, volunteer scanning, and regulatory compliance. Collect, analyze, and annotate clinical data to support product development and regulatory submissions. Engage with hospitals, KOLs, and customers to gather insights, identify pain points, and translate customer voice into product requirements. Provide clinical input on usability, image quality, and workflow needs during product development. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support product launch activities. Drive continuous improvement by converting customer feedback into actionable product development insights. Quality Specific Goals Comply with GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, and applicable regulations. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within deadlines. Identify and report quality or compliance concerns and take corrective action. Support closure of regulatory and quality requirements before completing design outputs/program deliverables. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying product quality gaps and providing solutions. Qualifications Registered doctor with strong ultrasound expertise. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the ultrasound industry or hospital setting, preferably with women’s health or cardiac ultrasound knowledge. Strong communication skills in English and local language. Leadership skills and clear thinker with strong product insight (not team supervision). Experience in clinical validation and regulatory processes (NMPA preferred). Preferred Qualifications Experience in global product planning and cross-functional collaboration. Background in clinical research and ultrasound product development. Motivation to embrace new technologies and contribute to innovative medical applications. International work experience.
