Due to a growing client and service portfolio, Veolia Dewatering and Maintenance Solutions are seeking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to work on water company sites predominantly in the South of England. The Mechanical Engineer role would suit existing Field Service Engineers looking for new challenges. Assist with carrying out inspections, services and repairs to customers’ dewatering machines. Assist mechanical repairs and modifications to pumps, pipework and valves and other ancillary equipment. Assist pipework installations using plastic, stainless steel and mild steel materials. Undertake standby cover and overtime as required including working away from home. Assist with completing test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents Help to ensure energy efficient operation of assets and minimise downtime and potential pollution risks Help reduce raw material usage on assets by completing thorough service and maintenance tasks using first time fixes   What we're looking for: Full UK Driving License is essential NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 3 Previous experience in working in an industrial environment or newly qualified in mechanical engineering Ideally, candidates will be COMPEX and PASMA trained, with current Confined Space and First Aid certification. A Clean Water and SHEA Water qualification is desirable, along with IOSH Managing Safely and DSEAR Awareness. What’s next? Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.
