With guidance from experienced engineers and technical leaders, you will assist in designing, modifying, developing, and implementing software solutions that support ResMed’s connected care platforms. You will also contribute to testing, validation, configuration, creation of operational metrics, and deployment of software applications. The right candidate for this internship is expected to have foundational knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development lifecycle and will rely on mentorship, instructions, and established guidelines to perform job functions successfully. This position is preferred to be performed onsite, based on team needs in the San Diego, CA office. Candidates will be asked to participate in in-person and remote team meetings. This position is also open to remote candidates. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025; program dates are May 18th – August 7th, 2026, OR June 15th – September 4th, 2026 Software development academic studies leading to a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Bioengineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Foundational knowledge of Java Familiarity with basic software development concepts and tools Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong experience demonstrated through academic projects, research, or software engineering internships Great interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment Strong communication skills and a growth-oriented mindset Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS/SQS Familiarity with observability tools and metrics (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog) Experience using AI tools to assist with routine development tasks Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Pay Range: Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
