Leidos Dynetics is seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented problem-solver to join our modeling and simulation team as an Aerospace Engineer in Charlottesville, VA. You will play a valuable part in developing and testing models of aerospace systems, to include air-launched weapons; ballistic missile systems; avionics; hypersonic vehicles; and guidance, navigation, and controls across a wide range of projects and programs. Primary Responsibilities Develop and test models of aerospace systems based on provided information, research, and engineering principles. Document model performance against requirements. Work collaboratively with an engineering team comprised of internal and external team members. Present results directly to customers. Candidate must be local to or willing to relocate to the Charlottesville, VA area. Basic Qualifications Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university Can have less then 2 years of experience, or up to 2 - 4 years of experience to be considered for these levels Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain up to a TS/SCI clearance Experience with 3DOF/6DOF flight models Some experience with modeling missile systems Experience in MATLAB/Simulink Detailed understanding of the systems engineering process for aerospace systems Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail Ability to travel when needed by the program If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Pay Range: Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
