Job Description: BeiGene, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, experienced process chemist to join our R&D team in Beijing. The individual will be an integral part of the company’s effort to develop life-saving therapeutics for oncology and other serious diseases. The successful candidate will independently design and implement innovative chemical syntheses and processes to support our pre-clinical and maturing portfolio. In this role, the scientist will interface with multiple functional areas, incl. Medicinal Chemistry, Formulation, Toxicology, in-vivo Pharmacology, etc. and will drive and oversee Tech Transfer of developed processes to suitable CMOs. The work environment provides a unique opportunity to interface with a proven, well-funded R&D team at an innovative domestic start-up biopharma company at the cusp of commercializing its own products worldwide. Responsibilities and essential functions of the job: •            Plan and implement identification and development of phase-appropriate chemical syntheses and processes to support programs reaching from preclinical to commercial stage •            Interface with management on priorities to drive the discovery, development and implementation of safe and cost-effective synthetic routes •            Build, train and supervise emerging team of in-house process chemistry scientists •            Work cross-functionally within the organization to enable timelines and help meet deliverables •            Built, train and supervise cohesive team of 2-3 highly productive process chemists •            Steward Tech Transfer of processes to CMOs and oversee/monitor implementation Qualification Required: Qualifications: •            M.Sc. Synthetic Organic Chemistry •            Min. 2-3 years of experience in Process Chemistry •            U.S. or European Pharma experience preferred •            Familiarity with modern homogeneous and asymmetric catalysis in organic chemistry •            Basic working knowledge of cGMP requirements and ICH regulatory guidelines •            Experience working with CMOs is a plus •            Chinese language skills desired Follow Us on MoSeeker !
