As such, we are seeking an Engineering Manager to be part of this mission. Let's talk about responsibilities: A hands-on role with coding when possible while managing & coaching a team of engineers Learn each workflow’s system architecture of key integrations, configurations, and upstream/downstream impacts Own your team’s delivery and outcome and are fully empowered to deliver Take pride in your team’s solutions and in hitting delivery targets Analyse requirements and collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineers to produce thoughtful software designs with considerable scope and high complexity Responsible for guarding, promoting, and establishing best practices within the team Assist with project estimation, planning and progress Communicate clearly and promptly when work hits roadblocks or risks arise that must be managed May be part of an on-call support rotation Qualification and Experience: Degree in Computer Science or related discipline Experienced People Manager, you take ownership of issues, work to find solutions, and collaborate well with team members and cross-functional groups Experience leading a software development team through multiple product/platform releases Experience making significant individual contributions as a Senior Engineer to real-world software development Interface with other project stakeholders to ensure the system objectives are balanced with overall project objectives Provide product design leadership for the project team, including ongoing design and implementation review Experience with NoSQL databases Experience development and delivery at a large scale Experience building scalable, available, and low-latency cloud-native systems Experience in using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot Experience using AI to solve operational and business problems Experience with messaging systems (pub/sub-queues, request/response) and data streaming What you can expect: A supportive environment that focuses on people development and best practices.
