We continue to drive industry innovation as we shape the future of training. Role Overview We are seeking six (6) Simulator Technicians to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will support the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of full‑flight simulation training devices. The Simulator Technician performs pre‑ and post‑flight activities, conducts visual alignments, runs Qualification Test Guides (QTGs), assists in troubleshooting, and completes scheduled preventive maintenance. This is a hands‑on technical position ideal for individuals who are passionate about aviation, simulation systems, electronics, and problem‑solving. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systems Assist with diagnosing and correcting simulator system issues Use maintenance management systems to track all maintenance activities Complete all required technical training Conduct pre‑flight and post‑flight activities on assigned simulators Perform basic visual alignments Run automatic Qualification Test Guides (QTGs) Support refurbishment and hardware modification projects Follow CAE’s Quality Management System requirements Provide responsive customer service to instructors and trainees Maintain simulator cleanliness and operational readiness Execute logistics tasks including parts receiving, repair, testing, and validation Complete administrative tasks as required Support technical services team activities as assigned Mandatory Qualifications Completion of a formal avionics/electro‑mechanical technology program Minimum 3 years equivalent experience specifically in flight simulator, motion‑platform, or aerospace‑grade test system maintenance Familiarity with diagnostic and calibration tools (e.g., NI LabVIEW, MATLAB) Ability to interpret system prints and schematics Simulation Systems knowledge including motion system, electromechanical systems and interphase system. Knowledge of Visual Systems including ACE Clutter, Visual Main UI, Theotalk, ANDS, GNDBS. Base Pay Range Our total rewards package includes base pay and benefits, with final compensation determined by experience, skill, location, and internal equity. Compensation & Benefits Salary $36.00/hourly (CAD), these positions are overtime eligible. A wage range does not apply to all roles in recruitment at CAE, as these particular positions are compensated at a fixed hourly rate.
