Now offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for all Maintenance Mechanic roles!   Job Summary: As a Maintenance Mechanic 2 at Behr, you will play a critical role in keeping our equipment and processes running safely and efficiently. You’ll leverage your strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical expertise to diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Using a variety of tools including soldering equipment, drills, measuring devices, and hand tools you will perform both reactive repairs and proactive preventative maintenance.   You’ll work on a range of equipment, including conveyors, liquid filling systems (pumps and valves), and packaging machines such as balers and tapers. You’ll also be responsible for documenting your work accurately, following safety protocols (including wearing a respirator in designated areas), and ensuring all equipment meets performance standards.   Main Responsibilities of the Role: Develop a strong understanding of equipment processes, effectively diagnose issues, and apply practical solutions to keep operations running smoothly. Gain experience in milling and filling departments while mastering fabrication techniques using shop equipment like shears, brakes, and cutting tools. Confidently troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits and VFDs, making adjustments to optimize performance. Keep detailed records of completed tasks, ensuring all work is performed accurately and on schedule. Contribute to a positive, safe, and organized environment by promoting high craftsmanship standards and actively supporting team efforts.   Requirements of the Role: Proficient in electrical systems, general mechanical repairs, and welding/fabrication processes. Skilled in SAP transactions, MS Office, and general PC operations.
