As a member of the Maintenance team, the Electrician - Relief is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of the manufacturing equipment and building. Schedule: This is a full-time permanent position, shift is Wed – Sat (10:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Salary: $50.10 per hour We support and care for our employees & their families by offering: Competitive wages Advantageous corporate agreements Full range of group insurance benefits Purchase option of company stocks Group RRSP Health and wellness program in the workplace Assistance program for employees and their families Saputo products at a discounted price How you will make contributions that matter: Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematic and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations Install, troubleshoot, replace or repair medium/low voltage electrical motors, VFDs, PLCs and other electrical components Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, regulators and reactors Maintain, repair, test and install industrial storage batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems Basic understanding of ladder logic program Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep maintenance records Carry out general plant/ equipment maintenance Maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices Perform other duties as required You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: Journeyperson certificate Excellent mechanical skills and ability to carry out general plant/ equipment maintenance Food industry or high speed packaging experience PLC training and experience would be an asset Demonstrate excellent trouble shooting skills and analytical skills Able to work independently with minimum supervisor and within an interdependent team A high level of self-motivation and initiative Proven proficiency and dependability in current position with a good safety record Able to work in confined space and perform some heavy lifting In Canada, Saputo is a leading cheese manufacturer and fluid milk and cream processor, with a portfolio of well-loved brands such as Dairyland, Armstrong, Neilson, Alexis de Portneuf, and many more.
