The CI intern provides support for the continuous improvement team through driving and sustaining improvements in our Tavistock plant. The Continuous Improvement Intern is a true CI Ambassador. It provides daily floor presence to coach, influence, and implement improvements. As you progress in your internship,   you’ll   discover opportunities for you to grow and build your own career path.      HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER ...     Support Plant Initiatives on automating various KPI reports for Packaging and Production department    Identify   and map out Transformation   loses   in packaging and engage in floor level activities   for reducing loses .   Support   short term   CI projects.   Ad-hoc requests and Special Projects.     YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YO U ...   Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or   master’s degree in Engineering , Operations Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or a related field (second ‑   or third ‑ year bachelor’s students or first ‑ year master’s students );     Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (e.g., Yellow/Green Belt certification), 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Root Cause Analysis (DMAIC, Fishbone, 5 Whys) is an asset.   Data Analysis and ability to lead root cause, performance gap analysis   Proficiency   in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exposure to data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and manufacturing performance systems (e.g., OEE)   Time management and ability to multi-task by undertaking multiple small projects.   Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across functions (Production, Maintenance, Quality, WH).    Ethical, proactive, and objective   approach;   Ability to manage and prioritize workload in a dynamic environment, ensuring quality and meeting deadlines.   We support employment equity.
