Job Details The role reports to the HRSC Regional Director. The Team Lead for Onboarding (Europe) oversees the seamless integration of new employees across multiple European jurisdictions. This position requires navigating diverse regulatory frameworks while collaborating effectively with individuals from various cultural backgrounds. Key responsibilities include managing a team of onboarding coordinators, resolving complex issues as they arise, and continuously identifying opportunities for process enhancement. Expertise in system such as Workday is essential to ensure organizational efficiency and data accuracy, experience in Service Now is desirable. This role partners closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Legal teams to align onboarding activities with company objectives and global standards. Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and Team Management Lead and mentor a team of onboarding specialists, fostering a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching to ensure the team meets or exceeds service level agreements (SLAs). Create a positive work environment that promotes professional growth and high employee engagement. 2. Onboarding Process Management Oversee the end-to-end onboarding lifecycle, including pre-employment checks, contract generation, background screening, and new hire orientation across multiple European countries. Ensure compliance with European labor laws, GDPR, works council agreements, and country-specific regulations. Act as a point of escalation for complex onboarding cases, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder satisfaction. 3. Operational Excellence and Technology Integration Utilize ServiceNow to manage onboarding cases, automate workflows, and ensure timely resolution of escalations. Leverage Workday to streamline onboarding processes, enhance data integrity, and provide real-time reporting and analytics. Continuously evaluate and improve onboarding processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and employee experience. Partner with the Operational Excellence team to identify and implement process automation and standardization initiatives. 4. Compliance and Risk Management Monitor and adapt onboarding processes to remain compliant with evolving European employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and audit readiness for all onboarding activities. 5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and hiring managers to align onboarding strategies with organizational goals. Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on onboarding metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to model behaviours that reflect the organization’s core values. Proven track record of HR Shared Services or similar team management experience in international environment Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external customers, including the ability to build and manage effective working relationships.  Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks. Ability to drive a team of Tier 2 experts dealing with more complex queries and requests Ease in a multi-national and multi-site context. Confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information. Analytical mindset and ability to solve problems escalated to them from multiple countries Continuous service and process improvement mindset Excellent English level is essential. A working knowledge of any of the following languages would also be an advantage: Dutch, French, German, Norwegian, Romanian, Spanish or Turkish. Education: Degree in HR or related subject Work Experience: Significant track record of success in a Shared Services team Demonstrated detailed knowledge of Workday, ServiceNow or other comparable integrated HR systems, ideally in a multinational group Significant professional experience in a multi-site operational environment.
