Job Title Strategic Client Manager About your role: As a Strategic Client Manager, you will own and grow relationships with large enterprise merchants in the payments space. You will partner closely with client stakeholders, sales, product, operations, and technology teams to deliver value, resolve issues, and drive retention and expansion. Your work will help clients optimize their payment performance while strengthening their long-term partnership with Fiserv. What you'll do: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of strategic large enterprise merchants, ensuring high satisfaction and retention. Develop and execute account plans, including revenue growth, product adoption, and relationship strategies aligned to client objectives. Analyze portfolio performance, transaction trends, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and upsell or cross-sell. Lead regular client business reviews, presenting clear data, performance insights, and recommended actions. Coordinate with sales, product, operations, finance, and support teams to address client issues, drive resolutions, and manage escalations. Partner with implementation and technical teams to support new product rollouts, integrations, and changes impacting strategic accounts. Monitor contract obligations, pricing, and renewals, ensuring alignment with commercial agreements and client expectations. Document key client decisions, risks, and action items, maintaining accurate and current information in customer relationship management (CRM) and tracking tools. Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary. Experience you'll need to have: 6+ years of experience in account management, client success, or relationship management for payments, fintech, or financial services, supporting enterprise or large merchant clients. Experience using CRM tools (for example, Salesforce or a similar CRM) and analytical tools (for example, Excel or similar) to track performance and drive client decisions. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP; ability to build repeatable analyses and reconciliations. Experience leading client-facing meetings, including executive-level presentations, and managing complex issues through to resolution. Bachelor’s degree Experience that would be great to have: Experience managing payment acceptance, acquiring, or gateway solutions for large enterprise merchants. Familiarity with merchant pricing models, interchange, and payment optimization strategies. Experience working with cross-functional commercial deal teams on renewals or expansions. Demonstrated ability to interpret transactional, financial, or operational data and translate insights into clear client recommendations. How you'll work: Onsite, working primarily from a Fiserv office location to support in-person collaboration and client engagement. Travel: This role requires occasional travel (up to 10%).
