Position Summary: The Business Project Advisor is responsible for supporting the systems and process used during the month end close cycle.  This individual will work with users, technology, accounting and finance to support the month end processes to ensure successful close. Job Description & Responsibilities : The role is responsible for the maintenance and scheduling of Business Objects Reports used by the accounting and FP&A departments. This involves working with the users to understand requirements and working with tech to ensure that required data is available and accurate.  This role also includes the support of MS Office Excel and Access. The ideal candidate will have strong financial and IT skills and will be capable of working with data and ensuring deadlines are met. Manage the maintenance and creation of Business Objects reports used by Accounting and FP&A Respond and research data issues in a timely manner Respond to ad hoc financial and business partner inquiries and requests, resolve financial discrepancies, Collaborate with stakeholders and IT developers on enhancement requests. Actively seek opportunities for improvement through process changes or identification of system enhancements. Collaborate with BO Team on updates and upgrades to ensure minimal impact to users Support Access databases throughout Finance as well as assist with MS Excel projects involving VB, macros, formulas, etc Other special projects as assigned Competencies / Skills: Ability to review deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established requirements. Ability to work cross functionally with business and tech Analytical skills, highly focused, team player, versatile, resourceful Ability to work under deadlines Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Attention to detail MS Access development knowledge MS Excel knowledge (VB, Macros, formulas) SQL knowledge Knowledge of Business Objects Experience Required: Qualified candidates will typically have 11-13 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, and system support.  Successful candidates will be high energy, self-starters with a focus on quality output and project delivery success.  Candidates must be excellent problem solvers and creative thinkers.
