Job Title Scala Software developer What does a successful Scala Software Developer do at Fiserv? As a Scala Software Developer you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs. What you'll do: Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities. Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary. What you’ll need to have: 6+ years in software development, plus 3+ years building backend solutions with Scala, Java, programming languages. 3+ years working with SQL databases, including writing and optimizing queries 3+ years using major cloud platforms and services across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP 3+ years delivering in modern engineering environments using CI/CD and DevOps practices, and operating within Agile methodologies 6+ years combined equivalent experience through education, related work, and/or military service What would be nice to have: Experience in the financial services industry #LI-SG1 Salary Range $110,000.00 - $186,000.00 These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York.
