We are looking for a Head of Business Unit Lab Essentials (x|f|m) - Hybrid based preferably in Goettingen at Sartorius Lab Instruments GmbH & Co.KG. This is a great opportunity to combine strategic ownership with commercial and operational accountability. In this role, you manage a global business, implementing the company strategy, ensuring profitable growth, innovation and operational excellence across products and sites, strengthening customer value, and overseeing execution to position the BU LE in the market in alignment with Sartorius’ strategic vision and objectives. This position is available full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our headquarters in Göttingen with the opportunity to work remotely. The role requires substantial international travelling. Grow with us – Your Responsibilities Set and execute the BU Strategy in alignment with group strategy set by Executive Board and ensure its timely deployment across all functions Build the organizational capabilities needed for both current performance and future innovation requirements Drive the Business Unit’s financial performance through disciplined business ownership to meet or exceed annual revenue, gross margin , securing sustainable profitable growth Champion customer needs and build strategic relationships to strengthen market impact, thus improving customer satisfaction and increasing share of wallet for the assigned portfolio Advance customer-centric innovation and new business development through effective oversight of the product portfolio and innovation pipeline, measured by on time launches, portfolio vitality metrics, and revenue contribution from new products Ensure operational excellence across manufacturing sites and S&OE processes to improve quality, cost, service levels, delivery reliability and overall OpEx KPIs Lead change across global environments while fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration, delivering transformation milestones, adoption of new ways of working, and measurable improvements in required behaviors Promote cross Business Unit coordination and alignment with Corporate, Commercial, and Operations functions to ensure seamless collaboration, unlock synergies, and drive consistency   What will convince us Strategic experience in general management roles in the Life Science or Bioprocessing industry with full business ownership and exposure to product, commercial, and operational environments; international track record across Sales, Product Management and R&D Understanding of customer workflows, bioprocessing technologies, and portfolio/innovation levers with a hunter mindset to identify unmet needs & growth opportunities Exposure to M&A activities including evaluation & integration High digital affinity and ability to leverage digital tools for innovation and efficiency Proven ability to take over business ownership , take decisions, drive execution, and improve quality, cost, service, and OpEx performance Exceptional ability to translate customer needs into product priorities, innovation opportunities, and business development Experience in leading change across global set ups and ensuring adoption of new processes and ways of working Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills Fluent in English; German is beneficial What we offer As a growing global life science company, stock listed on the MDAX, Sartorius offers a wide range of Benefits: Personal and Professional Development: Mentoring, leadership programs, Talent Talks, internal seminar offerings, coaching for managers Making an impact right from the start: Comprehensive onboarding, including a virtual online platform even before joining, Welcome Workshops, "buddy" as point of contact Welcoming Culture: Mutual support, teamspirit and international collaboration; communities on numerous topics, such as coaching, agile working and business women network We support diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from people of all nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, religions, ages, disabilities and cultural backgrounds.
