Pharmacy Technician- Part-time- Located at NYP The One- 1111 Westchester Ave, White Plains, NY Under the supervision of the department management/staff pharmacist, fills routine orders for unit of use and prepacked pharmaceuticals for the departments twenty-four (24) hour unit dose distribution system. Performs other related duties. Position Responsibilities  Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental control standards and infection control standards. Counts, packages and labels unit of use medication for inspection by a registered pharmacist and fills routine orders for medications. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served (neonate, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric). Assists the registered pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels. May assist with the preparation of Intravenous preparations and delivers such. Assists the hospital and department in meeting and exceeding their commitment to continuous quality improvement. This is a part-time position with roatating shifts between the hours of 6:00am-8:00pm. Required Criteria: High school graduate or equivalent with the ability to read and write English. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)  Prior experience in a hospital pharmacy or health care environment (nursing home care).  Computer/PC experience  Excellent human relations and oral communication skills.  Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
